DAMASCUS, (ST) _ Information Minister Omran Zoubi stressed that fighting against terrorism in the region and in Syria in particular cannot be made in isolation of the Syrian state and leadership, adding that Syria’s absence from the coalition or the lack of coordination with it in this regard will not change Syria’s position to the importance of fighting terrorism.
Syria proceeds fighting terrorism
In an interview with the Syrian TV yesterday, the minister said that Syria proceeds to fight against terrorism to the end, stressing that Ein al- Arab land and its people are Syrians and any other thinking otherwise is an attempt to achieve political ends and undermine the Syrian state and leadership.
Ein al-Arab is a Syrian land Syria will not hesitate to exercise its role in all areas
“Since the beginning of the battle, Ein al-Arab city is a Syrian land and its citizens are the privileged people of Syria,” the minister said, adding that the Syrian state will not hesitate to exercise its military, political social, economic and humanitarian role towards all areas.
“The Syrian armed forces provided military and logistical support, weapons and ammunition for the city and will continue that, being an issue of destiny,” the minister emphasized.
Syrian lands are red line
The minister added that no one can detach an inch of Syrian territory and the Syrian territories are a red line. He refuted Erdogan talk about no fly zones in Syria and considering Ein al-Arab a strategic area, saying that “this is a Syrian city, not a Turkish land, and “ this issue must be clear to all.”
Syrian fighters destroyed two repaired planes for terrorists
Regarding the YouTube film on terrorists control of three planes at al-Jarrah military airport in Aleppo, the minister explained that the terrorists tried three out of service planes after repairing them, and the Syrian air force destroyed two of them immediately, and the search for the third is underway.
Syria’s relations with friends and allies are strong and distinctive
The Minister reiterated that Syria maintains strong and distinctive relations with friendly countries and allies in the fight against terrorism, based on the historic moral legacy and common interests.
Terrorist organizations have no interest in the success of national reconciliations
Zoubi noted several national reconciliations made in many areas and underway arrangements made for those who surrendered themselves to competent authorities to hand over their weapons and returned back to normal life, indicating that terrorist organizations such as “Daesh” and “al-Nusra Front,” have no interest in the success of national reconciliations anywhere at home, because of dictates from external financing and political and intelligence commands from outside the border.
“The Syrian media was surprised by the size of the attack and the challenges, but had a problem to that we were honest, but do not know how to cite sincerity while they are lying and they know how to promote their lies,” the minister underscored.
He said that “the Syrian media dealt with the war and the events of the day with all the details and made great efforts in order to keep up with the facts and realities on the ground and conveyed its message transparently and in an integrated manner.”
