The balanced and reasonable stances of Russia have been indeed the cornerstone of international equilibrium and international legitimacy. Had it not been for countries like Russia, Iran, China, the world would have been more of a mess! The destructive role by the USA in invading others and spreading terrorism be it in Iraq, Libya, Syria, former Yugoslavia, Venezuela, Cuba, and many world spots have been met with strong opposition and deterrence by Russia. Russia’s vetoes along with China’s upholding international law and legitimacy have derailed, if not aborted, the US sinister and aggressive plots against Syrians.
“Russia is indeed supporting the governments of Iraq, Syria and other Middle East states in their fight against terrorism, including by supplying weapons to them,” as accurately and precisely Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the world’s most veteran and objective diplomat, declared yesterday. Such a declaration can in fact be highlighted in light of the US supportive role of terrorism.
“We also back these governments by massive supplies of weapons and military equipment and effectively enhancing their combat capacity,” Lavrov added. The destructive role of Americans in supporting terrorists and sponsoring puppets in the region is, on the other hand, is embodied and translated on the ground through its new version of Wahabi-Zionist Islam, sedition, chaos, not to mention its exploitation of others’ resources. The US Frankstein’s of Al-Qaeda, ISIS is now the main standing challenge for the entire globe. The USA, not Russia as President Obama claims, is the threat against the world.
There are many reports that the CIA was a major conduit for the transfer of weapons from Libya to Syria? We are also told that the US assisted in the logistics of delivering a Saudi-bankrolled transfer of Croatian weapons in 2012 to Syrian ‘rebels.’ According to the BBC: “The CIA is also reported to have been instrumental in setting up the alleged secret airlift of weapons from Croatia. And here is The Telegraph‘s take on things: “The shipments were allegedly paid for by Saudi Arabia at the bidding of the United States, with assistance on supplying the weapons organized through Turkey and Jordan, Syria’s neighbors,” according to the US Vice-President, Biden.
The New York Times goes further: “With help from the C.I.A., Arab governments and Turkey have sharply increased their military aid to Syria’s opposition fighters in recent months, expanding a secret airlift of arms and equipment for terrorists on the ground.
Diplomacy for Russia is to uphold international law and legitimacy. The US diplomacy of only sticks and some rotten carrots can been highlighted through the statements not only of the confused Obama, Biden but of its former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, who stated before the 2-day US House of Appropriations Committee on April 24-25, 2009: ”let`s remember here… the people we are fighting today we funded them twenty years ago…and great, let them come from Saudi Arabia and other countries, importing their Wahabi brand of Islam.”
Lavrov said the situation in Iraq, where the US forces have been deployed for over 10 years, shows that the “concept of artificially imposing recipes of state forms of government and social and economic development is absurd.” “Today this country, which is our friend, and which Americans planned to turn into an example of modernization or democratic role model for all the other Arab nations, is struggling against the deepest foreign policy crisis which is threatening the existence of Iraq as a single state,” Lavrov said, and reiterated the fact that both Iran and Syria are but the allies in combating terrorism.
“The United States has monopolized the right to intervene in other countries’ affairs on the pretext of campaigning for human rights and in doing so it uses a wide variety of methods,” he said. “Without a UN Security Council resolution or in violation of the UN Security Council’s mandate military interventions were launched in Yugoslavia and Libya. The United States has declared its right to use force wherever it pleases. If we speak on coalitions, let’s form such a coalition, let’s adopt such a decision at the UN Security Council,” Lavrov added and the question is whether any sane human can refute or deny Lavrov’s facts.
“Making the fight against terrorism subordinated to a political aim of punishing these or those regimes is very wrong, abnormal and counterproductive and leads only to increasing chaos,” Lavrov stressed.
