Syrian Arab army kills over 50 terrorists by airstrikes in Hama countryside, targets ringleaders’ meeting in Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_More than 50 terrorists have been reportedly killed by airstrikes in Hama countryside, as there have been clashes between Syrian army and armed terrorist groups in one of Aleppo city’s quarters.  

Media sources said Monday that clashes broke out between Syrian army and terrorists from the so-called the ‘Free army’ in Bani Zied quarter in Aleppo city where many terrorists were killed and injured.

The sources added that Syrian army recaptured al-Halabi farm plus Tallet al-Madafeh [al-Madafeh hill] near Handarat area north Aleppo. But this fresh progress has not been officially confirmed yet.

The official news agency (SANA) quoted a military source as saying that army units struck terrorist groups  in al-Zerbeh, al-Wdihi, Kafr Dael, Bshantra, Khan al-Assal, Tal Qrah, Ard al-Mallah, al-Sheikh Saed in and outside Aleppo.

The source added that army units killed many terrorists and destroyed several cars for them in Orem al-Kobra, Der Hafer, Rasm Harmal, Qebtan al-Jabal, al-Amereyeh, Bestan al-Qaser, al-Mashhad, al-Sekkari, al-Ramoseh and Bani Zied in the same province.

Well over 50 terrorists were killed in airstrikes carried out by Syrian warplanes in Morek town outside Hama, according to the Beirut-based al-Mayadeen TV channel.

The Syrian TV channel said that dozens of terrorists died as army units destroyed their hideouts in Morek, Kafer Zetta, al-Latamneh, Letmin and al-Zaka towns in Hama countryside.

More terrorist were mowed down as Syrian army targeted their groupings outside Daraa, Quneitra, Homs, Hama, Damascus and Idlib.

Infiltration bid into Jabborin town foiled

A military source declared that Syrian army pounded a hideout for terrorist ringleaders during a meeting for them in al-Yadodeh outside Daraa, foiled terrorists’ attacks on al-Ghezlan farm and Qasr al-Betar farm and wiped out an arms caches for terrorists in al-Hammadin quarter in the same province [Daraa].

There was another attempt by terrorists to attack a garrison in Sad Hannora outside Homs, but Syrian army thwarted it and killed many terrorists.

Syrian army, in addition, foiled terrorists’ infiltration bid from Byot al-Bado into Jabborin town in Homs countryside and killed an armed terrorist group on the outskirts of Qmenas town outside northwestern Idlib province.

Series of operations in Damascus countryside

In Damascus countryside, Syrian army conducted a series of concentrated operations against terrorist organizations in Jobar quarter, the Eastern Ghouta, Zabadani and Khan al-Shieh.

The operations resulted in eliminating many terrorists from al-Nusra Front plus Tunisian, Jordanian, Saudi and Sudanese mercenaries and destroying an arms cache in Kafr Batna town.

Syrian army discovered a bomb-making factory as it was pursuing terrorists in al-Jam’eyat quarter in Darayya city, around 8km west Damascus.
