Turkish regime still ‘part and parcel’ of terrorism hitting Syria and Iraq, says Miqdad

BEIRUT,(ST)_Faisal al-Miqdad has underscored that the Turkish regime is still part and parcel of terrorism that is hitting Syria and Iraq, advising the Turkish regime to reconsider its policy.

He clarified that since the beginning of the war on Syria, Erdogan’s group hosted terrorists from the so-called the ‘Free army’ and other brigades that implemented policies of Erdogan, Netanyahu, Saudi regime and supporters of murders.

“The clear-cut relation between the Turkish regime and the terror organization Daesh [IS] is no longer a secret,” Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister said, adding that Turkey’s failure to join the United Nations Security Council last Thursday reflects the world’s rejection of Erdogan government’s policy against Syria and Iraq and its alliance with the terror organization Daesh [known as IS or ISIS or ISIL in foreign media reports].

He advised the Turkish president Recep Tayyib Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to reconsider their policies and to learn a lesson from the defeat of the Turkish diplomacy in the UN General Assembly.

Al-Miqdad linked between the failure of the Muslim brotherhood’s policy –led by Erdogan and Davutoglu- to change regimes through ‘conspiracy and terrorism’ and Erdogan’s hatred for Syria and his open stance towards June 30-revolution in Egypt which destroyed dreams of Erdogan and his ‘non-Muslim’ brotherhood.

‘Safe zone’

Moreover, al-Miqdada added in an article published today in the Lebanese ‘al-Bena’a’ newspaper, that the Turkish leadership’s call for creating a buffer zone in Syria or ‘safe zone’ is a blatant violation of international law.

He noted that Davutoglu, who formed the theory of ‘Zero problems with Turkey’s neighboring countries’, replaced the term buffer zone with safe zone.

“Syrian people who have strong relations with sincere allies respecting moral principles will defend their homeland, including support for their brothers in Ayn al-Arab. They will never allow Erdogan to create buffer zone or safe zone or no-fly zone in Syria and they insist on supporting Syrian Arab army to achieve victory,” al-Miqdad asserted.
