Iraqi Premier Discussed Regional Developments with Syrian ambassador

BAGHDAD,(ST)_ Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi  discussed with Syria’s Ambassador in Baghdad Stam Jad’aan Aldandah political and security situation in the region and strengthening  bilateral relations between the two countries.

Abadi  pointed the grave  situation in  the region noting that “the international community has not carried out set  duties to avert the threat of terrorist organizations, which  we warned against repeatedly,” according to a statement issued by the Information Office of the Iraqi  Iraq Prime Minister, yesterday .

Abadi explained that the flow of terrorists led to Daesh  control over several areas, pointing out that who  Iraq is paying for the state of polarization prevailing  the region and is currently defending its unity , territorial integrity and sovereignty, is  more determinant  to achieve victory over these terrorist groups.

For his part, the ambassador who carried a message from Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi  to his Iraqi counterpart, and conveyed congratulations on the occasion of the formation of the Iraqi government said , that  al-Abadi stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations and the need to open new horizons for their development , considering that challenging terrorism in Syria and Iraq requires a firm and decisive stand to dry  the sources of terrorism , wherever it exists.

Aldandah  explained that the  terrorism faced by Syria, Iraq, is identical in terms of its , tools  and sources of funding ,arming , thoughts and  objectives , a matter  which requires  all countries that suffer from its  crimes to be united to eliminate it.
