Syrian Arab army kills over 60 al-Nusra terrorists in ambush in Qalamoun outside Damascus
PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has ambushed terrorists affiliated to al-Nusra Front trying to infiltrate into Qalamoun area outside Damascus, a Field Commander told the Syrian TV Channel’s reporter.
He confirmed that dozens of terrorists were killed in yesterday’s ambush.
“Over 60 al-Nusra terrorists belonging to the so-called the ‘al-Qosair’ brigades alongside their leader were killed in the ambush between Esal al-Ward and al-Jobbah areas,” the Alikhbaria Syria TV channel said.
More terrorists were killed and several cars for them were destroyed today during a new infiltration attempt into Jorod Qalmoun.
Daily, terrorists try to infiltrate into strategic areas in Qalamon coming from the Lebanese Arsal area, but Syrian army in cooperation with national defense forces foil their attempts.
In another development, alikhbaria Syria TV channel quoted a military source as saying that Syrian army eliminated many terrorists and destroyed an armored car for them in Hritan, al-Jbeleyeh, Ard al-Hamra, surrounding of air force academy, Haddadin, al-Wdihi, Free Zone, al-Meslmeyeh, Hanano, al-Zera’a, Tal Jbin, Dima and west Handarat in and outside Aleppo province.
Another military source told the official news agency (SANA) that Syrian army killed many terrorists in Jesr al-Shogour and Tal al-Fadl and al-Desoqi in northwestern Idlib province.
