Syrian, Iranian Oil Cooperation

Damascus, (ST)-  Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Suleiman al-Abbas recently met here Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran in Damascus, Mohammad Reza Sheibani and his accompanying delegation from Tucen Company. The two sides discussed ways of cooperation and the benefit from Iran’s experience in the management of fuel consumption using the smart card in force in Syria.

 The Minister welcomed the companies from friendly countries wishing to participate in the reconstruction, pointing out that it would be a priority in the investment opportunities available in the future.

For his part, Mr. Sheibani underlined the Iranian companies’ desire to participate in the rehabilitation phase in the oil and gas industry and mineral wealth for being have a good experience in this field.

For his part, General  Director of Tucen Company,  Adabi  Nejad expressed his company’s desire specialized in the design and implementation of software to transfer the experience of the management of fuel consumption using a smart card to refuel to Syria, expressing hope that the cooperation will be for the benefit of both parties.
