Syrian Arab army strikes terrorist groups in Quneitra, Aleppo and Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_Syrian army has continued operations against the Israel-backed terrorists that had infiltrated into al-Hamedeyeh town in Quneitra countryside, the official news agency (SANA) reported Friday.

The agency stressed that Syrian army is to go ahead with fighting terrorists till driving them out of all areas in Quneira and nationwide.

The Beirut-based al-Mayadden TV channel reported yesterday that a field commander in the so-called the ‘Free Army’ asked Israel to impose a no-fly zone over the Golan and Quneitra in order to prevent the Syrian warplanes from striking the sites recently taken by armed groups.

As for developments in other fronts, SANA said the army units targeted terrorist groupings in several areas in Daraa, Idlib, Homs and Aleppo as well as in Ein Tarma in Damascus countryside where many terrorists were killed and injured.

A depot containing raw materials to make bombs plus several explosive devices was found by the army units during a combing operation in al-Hamedeyeh quarter in the old city of Homs.

“The raw materials were of Turkish and Saudi origin,”  a source in Homs said.
