Syrian Arab army destroys tunnels in Jobar quarter, kills terrorists on outskirts of Aleppo citadel

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units have destroyed several tunnels and defused explosive devices in restive quarter near Damascus and eliminated many terrorists on the outskirts of Aleppo Citadel. 

According to the official news agency (SANA), the army units destroyed today several tunnels that had been used by terrorists to move from one place to another in restive Jobar quarter near Damascus and defused many explosive devices the terrorists planted in roads and buildings there.

Yesterday, a network of tunnels was destroyed in the same quarter which is witnessing intensified strikes against terrorist groupings.

In another development, the army units eliminated many terrorists In Maarret al-No’aman in Idlib and on the outskirts of Aleppo citadel in northern Aleppo province as well as in Daraa al-Balad in Daraa countryside and in several areas outside Homs.

The terrorists were eliminated during military operations.

Infiltration bid into town outside Sweida

More terrorists were killed as the army units foiled terrorists’ attack on a garrison on Damascus-Baghdad road outside Homs.

There was also an infiltration attempt by terrorists into Dama town in Sweida countryside, but the army units – in cooperation with popular defense groups- thwarted it.

Moreover, the army units struck hideouts of ISIL-linked terrorists in quarters of al-Reshdeyeh, Knamat, Hweqa and Shiek Yasin as well as in towns of Mre’eyeh, Jded Ekidat and Boqros Tahtani in Der Ezzour province.
