Syrian Arab army kills large numbers of terrorists in Idlib and Quneitra

PROVINCES,(ST)_Military sources have confirmed the death of large numbers of terrorists in a series of operations in Idlib and Quneitra.

One of the sources was quoted on the official news agency (SANA)as saying that the army units targeted terrorist groupings in Jesreshogour city, KafrShlaya, Syriatel towers, Bezzeh farm, Nahlya, al-Moqbeleh, surrounding of Kafroma town and near EinQri’a in northwestern province of Idlib.

It added that large numbers of terrorists were killed in the said areas.

At the same time, the army units warded off terrorists’ attacks on garrisons in Maaret al-No’aman, Wadi al-Dief and al-Hamedeyeh, destroyed 3 armored cars plus several cars equipped with heavy machineguns for terrorists and defused 18 explosive devices in several towns  and farms north of Abu Duhur airbase outside Idlib.

There were also fresh infiltration attempts by terrorist groups into Salam highway outside Damascus and into Sa’sa’a and Kom al-Basha in Quneitra countryside, but the army units repelled them and struck terrorists groupings in many areas in and outside Quneitra.

Several hideouts containing weapons and munitions for terrorists were destroyed during the strikes, a military source said.

Mortar shells confiscated in Jobar

In a further development, the army units mowed down many terrorists inside a hideout in Jobar quarter near Damascus and confiscated dozens of mortar rounds there.

The army units are making progress in the ongoing battle in Jobar quarter, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency added that the army units targeted terrorist groupings on Syrian-Lebanese border and in the heart of the Eastern Ghouta in Damascus countryside as well as outside Homs and in and outside Aleppo and Daraa.

Many terrorists were killed and injured there.
