Foreign Ministry Condemns French President’s Insistence on Misinformation Campaign Against Syria

DAMASCUS, (ST)_ “Syrian Arab Republic severely condemns the insistence of French President François Hollande in proceeding with misinformation campaign carried out by French government since the beginning of the ongoing crisis in Syria, which made his country {France} a direct accomplice in shedding the blood of the Syrian people,” a source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said today.

“Hollande himself admitted, few days ago, providing arms and weapons to the terrorist organizations.”

The source added “it had become clear to the whole world what Syria exposed of war from terrorist organization backed by regional and international forces, is considered the main reason in expanding the ongoing crisis in addition to increase and spread the armed terrorist organization to the regional countries.”

The source made it clear that “Syria announced the willing to contribute with regional and international efforts to combat terrorism which considered a threat for regional and international peace and security.

“Countries that provided all forms of support to the armed terrorist organizations are invited now to review their approaches and policies to prove their credibility and seriousness in combating terrorism and their commitment in implementing Security Council resolution number 2170.”

The source concluded his statement by saying “French public opinion condemns the policies of president Hollande in which made him the least popular president in the history of fifth republic, that made him the last person to declare himself a defender of the justice values, human rights and his keenness to the international peace and security.
