Terrorists attacks in Damascus and its suburbs

PROVINCES,(ST)_Terrorist attacks have killed at least a civilian and wounded eight others in Damascus and its suburbs, the official news agency (SANA) reported yesterday.

The agency clarified that a mortar round, fired by terrorists, landed near the back door of the ‘Dar al-Salam’ School in Sha’alan quarter in Damascus, wounding almost six civilians and causing damages to eight cars plus several shops at the scene.

On Wednesday, terrorists fired five mortar rounds on Tadamon quarter in the same province [Damascus], causing material damages without casualties.

Another terrorist attack took place yesterday when a terrorist opened fire on a truck near Jesr Baghdad on Damascus-Homs highway, killing the driver.

Two more civilians were wounded when terrorists detonated an explosive device they had planted on Haijaneh-Betareyeh road in al-Ghezlaneyeh area outside Damascus.

The terrorists, in addition, fired four mortar rounds on Daheyet Harasta, leaving damages to several cars and houses at the scene.

No one was hurt by the mortar fire.
