Some 379 gunmen turned themselves in to settle their legal status

Governorates, (ST) Some 379 wanted gunmen turned themselves in to competent authorities in Damascus, Damascus countryside, Homs, Idleb, Quneitra and Latakia, Hama and Aleppo, Raqqa and Hasaka to regularize their status.

Meantime, status of 71 gunmen from several districts in the city of Homs ‘s villages and towns of Bureij, Sakra, Mahein, Hawareen, eastern Jededah, al-Qseir, Azzedine, Rayyan and Tel kalakh and al-Daar al-Kabira has been regulated after they surrendered with their weapons to the competent authorities and vowed not to do any act that affects the security of the homeland. This was made in collaboration with Homs National Reconciliation committee.

Secretary of Homs branch of the Baath Party Sobhi Harb stressed that the settlement processes taking place in the province constitute an important step forward for the return of all people of the country, and enabling them participate in its construction, pointing out that Syria will win, thanks to the unity of the Syrians and their commitment to the armed forces.

He noted the efforts made by the competent authorities and members of the national meeting for reconciliation in Homs in achieving national reconciliation.

For their part, persons whose situations were settled confirmed to start new lives within their families and communities to exercise their normal lives, calling for all other misled to turn themselves in, in order to contribute to the country’s building, development and thwart schemes aimed at destabilizing its security.
