Syria Motex Exhibition in Beirut

DAMASCUS, (ST)-  the development and promotion of exports and exporters union Syrian preparations last Preparations have been completed to hold Syria Motex Exhibition in its second session to be held in Beirut during the period between from 15 to 18 August.

The Director of the Development and Promotion of Exports Agency, Ihab Ismander, said in a statement that Biel City Hall for Exhibition, the main center for organizing  fairs in Beirut with an area of up to 4,000 square meters, was booked for this purpose, pointing out that 260 Syrian companies specialized in clothing industry will participate in the exhibition.

Mr. Ismander clarified the targeted countries for the promotion of the exhibition were Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Yemen, Iraq, Egypt and the Gulf states, pointing out that formal invitations will be addressed to the most important customers from these countries to visit the exhibition through direct communications with them by the sectoral committees for clothing.

 He pointed out that the exhibition enjoyed great response in the first session and was able to contribute to the re-wheel productivity for industrialists gradually, pointing out that a questionnaire will be made this session across all participants to know their views, comments and the volume of contracts achieved during the exhibition.

The Syria Motex concluded its first session specialized in clothing of children in the city of Beirut last April with the participation of 114 Syrian companies and about 400 importers from a number of Arab and foreign countries.

The organizers of the exhibition as that time estimated the value of the contracts that had been signed with the Syrian textile companies participating in the exhibition of about $ 40 million.
