Patriarch Yazigi: Syria is Source of Enlightenment

HOMS,(ST)_ Patriarch John X Yazigi of Antioch and All the East for the Greek- Catholic church stressed that Syria steadfastness is inspired from that of its leadership, people and army and will remain a source of enlightenment, stressing rejection of “the ugly mainstream model on our relationship as Muslims and Christians in Syria because the facts of history and the logic of geography say that Syria’s Christians and Muslims do not know the takfiri language of annihilation. “

In a speech while chairing a divinely mass, yesterday at the Monastery of Saint George in Wadi al-Nadara in Homs patriarch Yazigi added : ” that Syria is the home of the alphabet and its people who are fluent in the alphabet of love  are like the phoenix bird will rise from under the rubble of history. “

Addressing President Bashar al-Assad, patriarch Yazigi said that Syria will remain the country of peace and tranquility and the yearning for eternal memories, ” expressing hope that displaced Syrians will return back safely to their homeland.

Patriarch Yazigi appealed to the God Almighty to bless the souls of the country’s martyrs, expressing condolences “for each mother and father for the demise of their children.

The mass was attended by the governor of Homs Talal Barazi and a large crowd of citizens.
