Syrian Arab Army Restores Security to Several Areas at Southern Entry of Hassaka City

PROVINCES,(ST)_Several areas at the southern entry of Hassaka city has become ‘safe’ amid reports of eliminating dozens of terrorists outside Damascus, Daraa, Homs and Idleb provinces and in and outside Aleppo province.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the army units restored stability and security to Juvenile prison facility, Hassaka power station, martyrs’ cemetery and al-Ahrash area at the southern entry of Hassaka city.

A military source confirmed the death of dozens of terrorists, mostly non-Syrians, and destruction of three cars equipped with heavy machineguns for terrorists there.

Infiltration bid by ISIL into Qameshli

At the same time, the army units foiled an infiltration bid by terrorists linked to the so-called the ‘Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant’ (ISIL) into Kherbet Jaddo’a town in the southern countryside of al-Qameshli.

Another infiltration bid by terrorists from the towns of Enq al-Hawa and Rhom into Maksar al-Hsan in the eastern countryside of Homs was also thwarted.

There were also clashes between the army units and armed terrorist groups to the south-east of the strategic Mliha town in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus.

The clashes synchronized with striking terrorist groupings and hideouts in many areas outside Damascus, Daraa, Homs and Idleb provinces and in and outside Aleppo province.

Illegal crossings closed

Moreover, the army units closed illegal crossings on the Syrian-Lebanese border and defused 6 explosive devices-planted by terrorists- in Nahleh town in northwestern Idleb province.
