Several shells hit Damascus and Aleppo

PROVINCES,(ST)_At least a civilian was wounded by a mortar attack on al-Abbaseyen quarter in Damascus a day after shells killed almost 8 civilians in Aleppo and Damascus, according to the official news agency (SANA).

The agency said today that a civilian was wounded when two shells- fired by terrorists- hit al-Abbaseyen quarter in Damascus.

Yesterday, terrorists fired shells on al-Slemaneyeh quarter in northern Aleppo province, killing almost 6 civilians and wounding several others.  

The mortar attack caused damages to houses and Demetrios Church at the scene.

The number of civilian casualties raised to 8 when three shells struck quarters of Kashkoul, Kabbas and Dwel’a in the capital [Damascus], killing at least two civilians and wounding 18 others.

Some 5 children plus a woman were among the civilians wounded by the mortar attack on Kashkoul quarter, a police command source said.
