Shamkhani : Syria will triumph by wisdom of its leader, People steadfastness

TEHRAN,(ST)_ Secretary of the Iranian Supreme Council for National Security, Ali Shamkhani stressed that the expansion of the scope of terrorism and worries of Western nations against threats arising from terrorists return to these countries is a sign of poor judgment on the part of those who are disseminating the sedition of terrorism in Syria, noting, “one who ignites the fire, would be doomed to the bottom of hell “.

This came yesterday during Shamkhani ‘s meeting with the speaker of the Syrian Parliament Mohammed Jihad al-Lahham, in the presence of the Syrian ambassador in Tehran, Dr. Adnan Mahmoud.

Shamkhani congratulated President al-Assad and the Syrian people over conducting the successful presidential election and President Assad winning of this election, stressing that the broad participation of the Syrian people in these elections was a clear indication on their objection to foreign interference, terrorism and extremist attitudes.

“The wisdom of the Syrian leadership to declare a general amnesty is appreciated in order to complete the ongoing successes of this country, both militarily and politically, ” he stressed.

He viewed President Assad ‘s firm position in condemning crimes of the Zionist entity in Gaza and the continued support of the oppressed Palestinian people’s resistance as a support for the axis of resistance.

He said that Syria continued support of the resistance showed that the pressure exerted by the enemies against this country did not have an impact on the will of the Syrian people and the government and its intention to challenge the Zionist usurpers and their protectors.

He stressed Iran’s continued support for Syria’s government and people in the face of terrorism and for the reconstruction of Syria.

For his part, Lahham pointed to the achievements of the Syrian government at the security, military and political levels, stressing that Syria will triumph, thanks to the wisdom of its leader, steadfastness of its people and army and help of friends.

“The Syrian government is determined to continue the fight against terrorist groups and restore security and stability to the country, in addition to reconstruct what was destroyed by terrorist groups.“ Lahham said. stressing that Syria also emphasizes the need to support resistance in the region.”

He stressed the need to strengthen political and diplomatic moves to expose the Zionist crimes in Gaza, calling for the formation of international will to confront the genocide policy pursued by the Zionist entity against the Palestinian people in Gaza.

“The scheme imposed on countries of resistance in Iran, Syria and Iraq is but an integrated plot drawn by the Western colonialist forces to dismantle the states and sabotage and weaken the region’s communities in the interest of the Israeli occupation entity,” he said.
