Syrian Arab Army Destroys Depot for Booby Trapping Cars in Aleppo, Blasts Tunnel near Damascus

PROVINCES,(ST)_A depot for booby trapping cars in northern Aleppo province  plus a 400-meter long tunnel near Damascus have been wiped out by army units.

A military source was quoted on the official news agency (SANA)  as citing that the army units wiped out a depot for booby trapping cars in Ein al-Tal and several cars, some of them equipped with heavy machineguns,  for terrorists in DeirHafer, Khan al-Assal, Enjara and Byanon in and outside Aleppo province.

The source added that many hideouts for terrorists in al-Sheikh Litfi, al-Meselmeyeh, Tal Qrah, Kafr Anton, Dahret al-Sherfeh and Andan  in the same province [Aleppo] were targeted  by the army units.

Meanwhile, the army units struck terrorists’ hideouts in more than 38 areas outside Homs,Daraa and Idleb provinces and foiled an armed terrorist group’s infiltration bid from Khan al-Shieh into the old road of Qunietra outside Damascus.

Large numbers of terrorists were eliminated in the areas.

Infiltration bids

Other infiltration bids by terrorist groups from the north of Qasr al-Betar farm into Othman town and from Dael town into a military post in Ibta’a town were also foiled by the army units.

The army units, in addition, blasted a 400-meter long tunnel in Jobar quarter near Damascus.

The tunnel that had been used by terrorists was booby trapped with explosive devices and it was equipped with electricity and hidden cameras, the official agency reported.
