HAVANA,(ST)_Syria-Cuba health cooperation based on signed agreements was discussed on Tuesday by the health ministers of the two countries.
According to SANA, the discussion held by Syria’s Health Minister, Dr.Saed al-Nayef, and his Cuban counterpart, Roberto Morales Ojeda, focused on ensuring vaccinations and qualitative medicines to meet the Syrian people’s needs.
Dr.Al-Nayef, who is visiting Cuba, will visit a number of private and public hospitals, medical centers to be briefed on Cuba’s experience in healthcare field.
This visit comes on the sidelines of the International Conference on Global Health being held in Cuba from December 3rd through 7th with Syria’s participation.
The five-day event is going to dwell upon link between environmental, social and economic policies on one hand and health on the other.
Other topics will talk about current challenges facing health services in all aspects.
