Larijani Warns of Human Catastrophe in Gaza

Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani on Thursday warned that continuation of the brutal siege of Gaza would lead to human catastrophe in that region, IRNA reported.

The warning was made in Larijaniˈs separate messages to Chairman of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation Member Statesˈ (PUIC) Abdolvahed Razzi and its Secretary General Martin Chungung.

The speaker condemned the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against oppressed and defenseless Gazans in the messages calling the PUIC, international community and other global organizations to take immediate actions to halt Tel Aviv brutal attacks on Gaza.

Larijani stressed that continuation of current situation in Gaza would cause human catastrophe and threaten regional peace and security.

Latest reports coming from Gaza said that repeated bombings are devastating Gazaˈs fragile water infrastructure.

Hundreds of thousands of people in Gaza are now without water, Jacques de Maio, head of the ICRC delegation in the occupied territories, has recently reported.

Maio warned that the entire population of the Gaza Strip may be desperately short of water as water and electrical services are affected by the Zionist regimeˈs current atrocities in Gaza.

Tel Avivˈs recent atrocities against the defenseless Gazans have so far left about 190 dead and many more injured.
