Some 13 Shells Hit Damascus, Kill almost 4 Civilians

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Terrorists fired on Wednesday some 13 shells on several quarters in the capital [Damascus], killing at least 4 civilians and wounding 30 others, according to a police command source.

The source was quoted on the official news agency as citing that 4 shells hit al-Shaalan quarter in the heart of Damascus where 4 civilians were martyred and 22 others wounded.

The mortar attack caused damages to several cars and houses at the scene.

Eight more civilian were wounded as 7 shells struck Omayyad square and Sheraton Hotel’s garden as well as Yousef al-Azmeh square.

While the two shells landed on the outskirts of al-Abbaseyen stadium left no casualties.
