Syrian Parliament, Baath Party RL, Bilad al-Chaam Scholars: Zionist Aggression on Gaza is war of Extermination that Requires International trial of Occupation and its supporters
DAMASCUS,(ST)_ The Syrian People’s Assembly (Parliament) has strongly condemned the brutal Israeli aggression against the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza Strip, resulted in killing tens of martyrs and hundreds of wounded, stressing that “this aggression which has been continuous since decades at the sight of the world is a war of genocide requires international trial of the occupation authorities and its supporters.”
“The aggression coincides with the terrorist war against Syria, led by the same countries that support the Israeli occupation authorities in the war against the Palestinian people and is an episode of the scheme aims to fragment the region and weaken its states in the service of the Israeli occupation,” the parliament said in a statement issued yesterday.
“It is not strange that the Israeli occupation authorities exploit the situation in the Middle East to liquidate the Palestinian cause in coordination with the U.S. administration and some Arab regimes,” the statement noted.
The statement went on that this brutal aggression would not have occurred without the international cover and suspicious silence of international organizations, which hold the Palestinian people responsible for being slaughtered at the hands of the Israeli executioner and justify the aggression, in reflecting an implicit partnership to carry out this aggression.”
The parliament denounced “positions of countries that are permanently aligned to the Israeli state terrorism, Arab and international silence regarding this aggression and all the crimes committed by the Israeli occupying forces against the Arab people.”
It called on the Arab people, free peoples and their parliaments, all the political forces and the forces of resistance to support the Palestinian people against the brutal occupation authorities, politically, economically and humanly so as to maintain steadfastness against the Israeli killing machine and restore the Palestinian people legitimate rights to establish their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The statement also called on the Palestinian people to mobilize energies against the Israeli aggression ” stressing that “Syria will remain, in support of the Palestinians steadfastness and just cause under all circumstances.”
In similar statements, both the Baath Party Regional leadership (RL) and Union of Bilad al-Chaam Scholars denounced the continuous brutal and barbaric aggression on the Palestinian people in Gaza and other Palestinian territories, considering this heinous Israeli aggression as “an integral part of the conspiracy to undermine Arab resistance through various techniques such as creative chaos, supporting terrorism and obscurantism, and arming mercenaries against Syria being the first supporter of resistance.”
