Syrian Arab Army Defuses Car Bomb in Homs, Foils Infiltration bid from Syrian-Jordanian Border

PROVINCES,(ST)_A car bomb has been defused in central Homs province, as the army units foiled terrorists’ infiltration bid from the Syrian-Jordanian border and destroyed two arms dumps outside Aleppo and Idleb provinces.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the competent authorities defused today a car bomb- parked by terrorists- near Kaser Shops in Arman quarter in Homs city.

“The car was loaded with 400 kg of explosives and parked in a busy street,” a source in Homs province said, noting that civilians cooperated with the competent authorities in finding the car which was  of Hyundai Avanti model.

The seizure of the car bomb synchronized with foiling an armed terrorist group’s infiltration bid from Tisia town on Syrian-Jordanian border into a garrison outside Daraa province.

The official agency confirmed the death of many terrorists that tried to infiltrate into the garrison, adding that the army units targeted armed terrorist groups on Semlin-Zemrin road and in Othman town as well as to the south-east of al-Hejjeh town in Daraa countryside.

Munitions and cars for terrorists destroyed

Moreover, the army units shelled terrorist groupings in Haj Hammod farm, Bennesh, Kafromah and Jabal al-Zaweyeh where a depot containing munitions and missiles plus several cars for terrorists was destroyed.

A military source declared that many terrorists, including non-Syrians, died in the said areas.

Another depot containing ammunitions for terrorists and a lot of their cars were wiped out in Tal Jbin outside Aleppo province.

In the same province [Aleppo], the army units struck terrorist groupings in the old city, al-Sha’ar, al-Zerbeh, B’edin, the industrial city, al-Jandol, al-Meselmeyeh, Kweris, al-Hader, Kafr Hamra, Tal Qrah, Hritan, Dahret Abdrabboh and Ezaz.

Last night, the army units destroyed several weapons-laden cars for terrorists in the northern farms of Mliha town and killed many terrorists in Duma, Darayya and al-Zabadani areas in Damascus countryside as well as in Jobar quarter near Damascus.
