Ghazal wins gold in Malaysia

DAMASCUS,(ST)-MajdEddinGhazal,the outstanding Syrian athlete, has clinched a gold medal in the Open Malaysia Athletics Championship .

Ghazal set a record in the high jump contest scoring two meters and 26 cm.

On this achievements,Ahmad Abo Dahab,secretary of the Athletics Federation ,was quoted as saying “undoubtedly,Ghazal’s achievement is very good for the Syrian sport namely athletics,”.

It is to be noted that Ghazal came first in the Asian Grand Prix Championship which was held in Thailand last May.

He also came third in the Indoor China Championship which was hosted by China last February.
