President Assad Receives Congratulation Message From Palestinian President on Winning Presidential Elections

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ President Bashar al-Assad has received a message from President Mahmoud Abbas, conveying on behalf of the Palestinian people and his behalf congratulations to President Assad on the  precious trust given by the Syrian people in electing him as President of the Syrian Arab Republic.

President Abbas said that electing  President Assad embodies preserving Syria’s unity and sovereignty and will contribute to the elimination of crisis against terrorism, expressing best wishes for Syria’s progress and stability.

President al-Assad also received another cable of congratulations, marking the occasion, from Fatwa General house in Iraq, which expressed the hope that under the leadership of President al-Assad, Syria will maintain unity and harmony enjoyed by the Syrian people.
