Syrian Arab Army Kills 40 Terrorists outside Quneitra, Thwarts Infiltration Bid into Daraa City

PROVINCES,(ST)_At least 40 terrorists, mostly of Saudi, Qatari and Jordanian nationals, have been killed outside Quneitra province amid reports of foiling armed terrorist groups’ infiltration attempts into areas in southern Daraa province.  

A military source was quoted today on the official news agency (SANA) as saying that the 40 terrorists died when an army unit targeted hideouts for terrorists in Ofania town outside Quneitra province.

He added that most of the terrorist killed in the said town were of Saudi, Qatari and Jordanian nationalities.

At the same time, the army units thwarted infiltration attempt by an armed terrorist group from Yadodeh-Othman road into Daraa city.

Two other infiltration bids by armed terrorist groups into a house in Qita town in Inkhel city and into Othman town in the same province [Daraa] were also thwarted, according to a military source.

The source added that the army units targeted two armed terrorist groups in al-Kassara area at Zemrin-Samlin junction and to the east of al-Ghezlan farm outside Daraa.

A third armed terrorist group was targeted by the army units on Jabborin-Kafrnan road outside Homs province.

Strikes

Many members of the terrorist groups were killed, the official agency reported, noting that more terrorists perished as the army units shelled terrorist groupings in Talbeseh and al-Rastan as well as in the southern countryside of al-Qusair and in the eastern countryside of Homs.

The agency, in addition, said that the army units struck hideouts for armed terrorist groups in Bani Zied, al-Sha’aar and Bestan al-Qasr quarters in Aleppo city and in more than 17 restive areas in and outside the province of Aleppo.

More hideouts for terrorists near Em al-Ghar town and on the outskirts of Haj Hammod farm in Jesr al-Shogour and near Ein al-Souda town as well as in the surrounding of al-Janodeyeh town outside Idleb province were also targeted by the army units today.

Several cars equipped with heavy machineguns for terrorists were destroyed in the above said towns, according to a military source.

The source added that a hideout for al-Nusra Front terrorists was targeted in the surrounding of al-Shegher town outside Idleb.

“Most of the terrorists killed inside the hideout were of foreign nationalities,” the source confirmed.

Last night, the army units eliminated many terrorists from al-Nusra Front and the so-called the ‘Islamic Front’ in the northern farms of al-Mliha town in the eastern Ghouta of Damascus and in Adra area outside Damascus.

There were also clashes between the army units and armed terrorist groups in Jobar quarter near Damascus.

The clashes resulted in killing and injuring many terrorists, including a sniper.

More terrorist were crushed in al-Zabadani plain and Khan al-Sheih areas in Damascus countryside.
