President Assad receives Congratulations from Guiana President, World Figures and Parties on Winning Elections

DAMASCUS,(ST)_President Bashar al-Assad has received a cable of congratulations from President of the Republic Guiana Donald Ramoutar on the occasion of winning the presidential elections in which he stressed that running the elections and President al-Assad Winning was a “great victory” for Syria.

 He expressed his best wishes for continued friendly relations between the two countries and coordination of common positions towards regional and international issues.

President al-Assad also received more cables of congratulations from Arab and world figures and parties, that expressed hope for the return of peace and stability to Syria.

Senders of the cables indicated that the results of the presidential elections in Syria revealed the will of the Syrian people’s steadfastness against the global conspiracy faced by Syria, stressing the importance of supporting Syria against the terrorism, it has been experiencing.

The cables came from the first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party Belarus Igor Karpenko, Dr. Osama Saad general secretary of the Naserite People’s Organization in Lebanon, Sheikh Hossam Aqrakirh president of the Association of Islamic Charitable Projects in Lebanon, Kamal Shatila, head of the Lebanese people conference, former Lebanese MP Mohsen Dalloul, former Lebanese Minister and MP Zaher Khatib, Secretary-General of the Workers society, Dr. Samir Sabbagh, president of Beirut’s Union, Sheikh Abdul Nasser Jabri Secretary-General of the Nation movement in Lebanon and lawyer Salah Kamel Daher, Arab Lawyers Secretary General.
