Syrian Arab Army Foils Terrorists’ Infiltration Bids into Rankous Plains, Inflicts Heavy Losses upon Terrorists outside Homs and Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_Army units have thwarted terrorists’ infiltration attempts into western plains of Rankous area outside Damascus and into safe areas in northern Aleppo province and killed large number of terrorists outside Homs, Daraa and Idleb provinces.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the army units mowed down terrorist groups that tried to infiltrate into the western plains of Rankous area and into areas surrounding the Lebanese al-Tafil town- from the Syrian side- in Damascus countryside. 

A military source said that the army units restored stability and security to the area.

Operations in al-Zabadin plain

In the same province [Damascus countryside], the army units conducted a series of operations in al-Zabadin plain where many terrorists, mostly non-Syrians, were killed.

More terrorists belonging to al-Nusra Front, the ‘Islamic Front’ and Der’a al-Asemeh’ brigade [the capital’s shield brigade] were crushed on Mliha-Jesrin axis and in WadiEinTarma, Adra, Duma and al-Nashabeyeh areas outside Damascus and in Jobar quarter near Damascus, according to the official agency.

Lots of terrorists died

The agency added that the army units obliterated hideouts containing weapons and munitions for terrorists in al-Batra’a Mountains near al-Rhebeh town in the northeastern country of Damascus.

Other hideouts for terrorists were targeted in several areas outside Daraa, Aleppo, Idleb and lattakia provinces as well as in towns of Rhom, al-Shendakheyeh and Em al-Resh outside Homs province.

Lots of terrorists died in the said areas and in orchards of al-waer quarter in the central Homs province.

In addition, the army units destroyed an arms cache and crushed many terrorists in towns of Mohsinand al-Boamro outside Der Ezzour province and foiled terrorist groups’ infiltration bids from Azezeh town into safe areas outside Aleppo province.
