PROVINCES,(ST)_Terrorist groupings in more than 51 flashpoint areas outside Damascus, Daraa, Homs, Aleppo, Idleb and Hama provinces have been targeted by army units in today’s operations.

According to military sources, many terrorists, including non-Syrian mercenaries, were killed in the operations which coincided with defusing four explosive devices – planted by terrorists- on al-Salameyeh-Hama main road.

The sources declared that Saudi and Jordanian mercenaries were among the terrorists that were killed when an army unit struck a hideout for terrorists in Tal Kerdi in Duma district outside Damascus.

They added that most of the terrorists killed in Damascus countryside, precisely in the strategic Mliha town in the Eastern Ghouta, belong to the so-called “Islamic union of Ajnad al-Sham’ and ‘Ansar al-Haq’ battalion.

Clashes in Darayya

More terrorists died in the clashes with the army units in al-Jameyat quarter and al-Alali area in the heart of Darayya city outside Damascus, according to the military sources.

As for results of operations in Homs province, a military source was quoted on the official new agency (SANA) as saying that many terrorists were killed and injured as the army units targeted terrorist groupings in Em Sharshoh, al-Ghajar and al-Rastan areas.

The army units also carried out operations in Morek town in the northern countryside of Hama and in towns of al-Hnita, al-Haqeyeh, Rasm al-Ableh and Arshoneh in the eastern countryside of the same province.
