On Syria’s participation in the Serbia event, Ahmad Jumaa, the Wrestling Federation Chairman, was quoted as saying: “in preparation for taking part in this prestigious event, an indoor-training camp was held in Damascus last February. Actually, we have depended on veteran players to represent Syria in the Mediterranean Championship. It (the event) will be a good opportunity for our wrestlers to gain more experience,”.
