Minister of Health Discusses Opportunities for Joint Cooperation with Head of Global Development at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in Geneva

Minister of Health Dr. Musab Al-Ali met with Chris Elias, President of Global Development at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, to explore opportunities for joint cooperation, particularly in the areas of polio eradication, strengthening disease surveillance systems, and improving maternal and child health and nutrition.

 

During the meeting on the sidelines of the 78th World Health Assembly held in Geneva, Minister Al-Ali expressed Syria’s readiness to extend an official invitation to Mr. Bill Gates to visit Syria, with the aim of informing him about the Syrian experience and exploring potential avenues for collaboration.

 

For his part, Chris Elias welcomed the initiative and expressed the foundation’s willingness to deepen cooperation with Syria in a manner that supports efforts to enhance public health and improve health indicators.
