Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria welcomes the formation of transitional justice and missing persons Authorities

The Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria hads welcomed the formation of the National authority for Transitional Justice and the National authority for Missing Persons in Syria, stressing that this is an essential step towards uncovering the truth.

The UN Commission of Inquiry said on the (x) platform: “The International Commission of Inquiry considers the establishment of the two new National Commissions for Missing Persons and Transitional Justice in Syria an essential step towards Revealing the truth about missing persons and the grave violations committed in Syria.

”The Commission added: It looks forward to Contributing in achieving justice, reparation, and non-recurrence for all victims.

The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria was established on August 22, 2011, pursuant to Human Rights Council resolution (resolution 1/17-s).
