Turkish Consul in Aleppo: Strengthening Political and Economic Ties with Syria Is a Top Priority

Turkish Consul General in Aleppo, Muammar Hakan Cengiz said during his visit to the Aleppo Chamber of Commerce and meeting with Chairman of the Board, Muhammad Saeed Sheikh Al-Kar:

–   Improving political and economic relations with Syria is the primary goal through enhanced cooperation.

–  A consular office for issuing visas will soon open in Aleppo, initially dedicated  to businessmen, exhibitions, festivals, and commercial visas.

–  Airspace will be opened between the two countries, and Aleppo Airport will be operational to receive flights.

–  The Turkish state supports all sectors of the economy and industry, and we emphasize facilitating procedures for Turkish investors to operate in Syria.

–  Priority for work in Syria is given to companies contributing to reconstruction, and Aleppo Governorate needs a dedicated area for organizing exhibitions.
