EU’s Support for Transitional Justice and Addressing the Issue of the Missing in Syria

The Chargé d’Affaires of the

European Union Delegation to Syria, Michael Ohnmacht,said via platform (x):

“I welcome the formation of the National Committee for Transitional Justice and the National Committee for the Missing in Syria.

This is an important step in addressing critical issues in the path toward comprehensive justic,he added.

The European Union is following these developments and hopes for the cooperation of the committees with Syrian civil society and international human rights organizations, and it is ready to cooperate if requested,he said.
