Egyptian Foreign Minister: We Support Syria and Its Sovereignty, Unity, and Territorial Integrity

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Atti affirmed his country’s commitment to supporting the Syrian people and respecting Syria’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement today that Abdel Atti met with Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs, and a high-level advisor for African affairs, where they exchanged views on several regional issues.

During the meeting, Abdel Atti emphasized Egypt’s commitment to supporting the brotherly Syrian people, respecting the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of Syria, and ensuring that Syria becomes a source of stability in the region. He pointed out the necessity of launching an inclusive political process that includes all components and factions of Syrian society to overcome this critical phase.
