Final communique of the Arab Summit in Baghdad

BAGHDAD, MAY.17, (ST)-The Final communique of the Arab Summit, which was held today in Baghdad, called for respecting the choices of the Syrian people, with all their components and sects.

It also welcomed US President Donald Trump’s announcement to lift sanctions on Syria.

The communique condemned the ongoing Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.

It in addition affirmed that the Palestinian cause is a central cause, calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The Arab leaders reiterated their absolute rejection of the displacement of the Palestinian people.
