Norwegian Foreign Minister Welcomes US Decision to Lift Sanctions on Syria

Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide:

 

– I welcome the announcement by the President of the United States to lift sanctions on Syria.

 

-Norway has called for the same regarding sanctions, and the government of President al-Sharaa should be given a chance to prove its ability to unify Syria.

 

– Norway remains a vigilant and supportive partner in Syria’s reconstruction journey.
