Syria, Cyprus to enhance cooperation in the field of transport sector

The Minister of Transport, Dr. Yarab Badr discussed with the Cypriot Ambassador in Syria, Mikhail Hajji Kiro, the ways of cooperation between the two countries in the field of the transport sector.

 

During the meeting held today in the Ministry’s building in Damascus, the two sides stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations to serve the interests of the Syrian and Cypriot people.

 

Minister Badr stressed the importance of developing railways, sustainable transport, digital transformation and traffic safety in Syria, reviewing future plans to develop road projects and the Ministry’s vision to develop railways.

 

For his part, the Cypriot Ambassador pointed out the importance of the visit, as it comes within the framework of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, and discussing ways of joint cooperation in the field of transportation to serve the interests of the two peoples.

 

He expressed his country’s readiness to provide technical and in -kind support
