Syrian Arab Army Recaptures Town in Damascus Countryside, Strikes Terrorist Groupings Outside Aleppo, Homs, Daraa and Idleb

PROVINCES,(ST)_Military sources said on Thursday that the army units regained control over al-Thawra town in al-Kesweh area outside Damascus and targeted terrorist groupings in several areas in Aleppo province and outside Homs, Daraa and Idleb provinces.

The sources clarified that the town of al-Thawra became under the army’s control in the wake of eliminating all terrorist groupings there. 

They noted that many terrorists, including Jordanian, Qatari and Saudi mercenaries, were killed when the army units struck terrorist groups in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, Zamalka, Harasta, Jobar and Khan al-Sheih areas outside Damascus.

Most of the terrorists killed in the Eastern Ghouta belong to al-Nusra Front, ‘al-Qa’aqa’a’ brigade and the ‘Islamic Union of Ajnad al-Sham’.

More terrorists died as the army units targeted terrorist groups in more than 51 areas outside Idleb, Homs and Daraa provinces as well as in and outside Aleppo province.

The sources also confirmed that terrorists had tried to infiltrate into a garrison in Kherbet Ghazaleh town outside Daraa province and the army units foiled the bid and killed several terrorists.
