Minister of Information Rejects Sectarian Militarization on University Campuses

The Minister of Information, Dr. Hamza Al-Mustafa, has confirmed the total rejection of using university campuses as platforms for sectarian militarization and for threatening civil peace.

In a recent statement on his Facebook page, Dr. Al-Mustafa addressed the situation involving many students leaving the University City – a story which has been widely shared on social media. He stated that he contacted the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Marwan al-Halabi, regarding this issue.
Dr. Al-Mustafa emphasized that anyone who violates this principle will be held accountable. He also expressed his commitment to working with the Governor of As-Sweida and the Ministry of Interior to ensure the safety and protection of students.
He pledged that Syrian universities will continue to be a beacon of thought and a guardian of the diversity that Syria proudly represents.
