Saudi-Qatari companies to build and develop tourism facilities in Syria

The Ministry of Tourism has signed a cooperation agreement with a group of Saudi-Qatari companies to construct and develop several tourist sites and facilities in Syria.

The memorandum of understanding aims to improve tourism by constructing a number of tourist sites and facilities, achieving economic feasibility and increasing financial returns for the state treasury.

The memorandum also aims to leverage the expertise and capabilities of these companies to develop and invest in these sites, contributing to sustainable economic, social, cultural, and tourism development and providing job opportunities for Syrian youth during the construction and operation of these facilities.

The Minister of Tourism also confirmed the development of a plan to improve tourism, with several memoranda of understanding expected to be signed in the coming period in the tourism sector.

The Turkish Minister of Culture and Tourism will also visit Syria to strengthen cooperation and sign new agreements between the two countries in several governorates.
