Celebration for democracy and beginning for political pluralism

June 3rd presidential vote is the most important event in Syria’s modern history as it provides a passage towards safety, stability and reconstruction. The Syrian people, army and leadership have showed strong determination to continue building the country regardless of any attempts of foreign interference in the Syrian internal affairs.

The Syrians, who faced the biggest global conspiracy, have won thanks to their high awareness and adherence to national unity and support for the Syrian army in its battle to clear Syria from takfiri terrorism that was exported to Syria from more than 83 states.

The Syrians nation-wide have expressed through elections their steadfastness and victory over the conspiracy and aggression for Syria to restore its role and glory and to be the inexhaustible springboard of peace in the region and the world.

The elections day was a great day in the history of the nation and the homeland as the Syrians elected the one who represents their aspirations for unity, steadfastness, resistance and progress.

Through flocking densely towards ballot boxes to choose a president for the coming seven years, the Syrians wanted to foil the conspiracy, restore the national unity and take the country to an advanced stage in all domains.

The Syrians headed for ballot boxes intensively to undermine terrorism. They participated in the elections despite the terrorist and foreign threats to tell the whole world that the Syrians are supporting the Syrian state, the Syrian Arab Army and the president who is going to protect the country and the dignity of his people.

By holding its presidential elections, Syria is passing through a stage of political success and humiliating defeat of the U.S. Zionist project represented by the so-called Arab spring which aims, among other things, to perpetuate the Israeli occupation of the Arab territories and revive the colonialist dreams of France, Britain and their allies.

The presidential elections in Syria have yielded a strong response to the US and its regional and international allies who view with dismay the unshakable will and relentless determination of the Syrian people.

The Syrian people voted with full freedom to elect a president for the Syrian Arab Republic and draw their destiny and that of Syria. The elections mark the end of the plot targeting Syria, and the Syrians’ enthusiasm for voting sent a shocking message to the West. The Syrians’ eagerness to vote constitutes a momentous victory for them and marks a historic defeat for the US and its allies. The Syrian people reflected, through participating in the presidential elections, a firm will and greater belief in the homeland. Syrian citizens have chosen their president whom they find qualified to be a president at this critical time. This day will be a celebration for democracy and a beginning for political pluralism.

June 3rd is historical and memorable in the Syrians’ hearts and minds the Syrian people’s will is the one to determine the future of the country. No one in the entire world can prevent the Syrians from drawing the future of their country. No one grants legitimacy except the Syrian people. The Syrians registered their free will in democratic, transparent elections to elect the president who will lead them in the future. The elections day marks the beginning to return to rebuilding, making national reconciliation and going ahead in the political solution track to end the crisis.

The world should realize while seeing the presidential elections that Syria is a country of one people and one leader despite attempts by more than 83 countries to ignite sedition and sectarian war among the Syrians and destroy their state.  All sides which oppose holding the elections should inspect the scene in many Syrian provinces and learn the real democracy.

The great success of presidential vote, coupled with an accelerating pace of national reconciliations and army gains on the ground will carry Syria to a new stage of recovery, reconstruction and progress.
