President Al-Sharaa to Discuss Reconstruction and Economic Cooperation During France Visit

An official source at the Ministry of Information stated: “President Ahmad Al-Shara will visit France tomorrow, Wednesday, where he will hold talks with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, addressing a number of bilateral and regional issues.

The source added that the discussions will focus on reconstruction efforts and prospects for economic cooperation and development in Syria, particularly in the fields of energy and aviation.

The talks will also cover key issues, notably the security challenges facing the new Syrian government, the repeated Israeli violations of Syrian sovereignty, and relations with neighboring countries, especially Lebanon.

The official source added that “This official visit by President Al-Sharaa holds great significance as it is the first to a European country following the fall of the former regime, contributing to the development of the state’s foreign relations and the restoration of its position.

“The visit comes as part of the growing ties between the two countries, which have been preceded by several phone calls between the two presidents discussing a number of important shared issues.” The source said
