President al-Assad: joy and enthusiasm in expressing nationalism does not justify shooting in the air, endangering Citizens lives

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ President Bashar al-Assad stressed that expressing joy and enthusiasm out of a national feeling does not justify shooting in the air, which endangers the lives of citizens.

President al-Assad said in a statement posted on the Syrian presidency page on the social networking site, Face book, that our brave soldiers who are on the fire lines defending the homeland and fighting terrorism should have each and every shot fired in the air to express jubilation of any occasion or event.

The President called on citizens to express their national feelings, in a way reflecting our civilization, culture and high morals, as Syrians.
