Syrian News Channel will launch its first official broadcast tomorrow at 5:00 PM via satellite, bearing its new visual identity.
This is part of the Ministry of Information’s plan to relaunch and revitalize state media.
Syrian News Channel Director Jamil Surur clarified to a SANA correspondent that the channel launched its first test broadcast the day before yesterday on the Nile satellite, frequencies 12303 H 27500 and 11938 V 27500, and the Suhail 1 and Suhail 2 satellites, owned by the Qatari satellite company Suhail Sat.
According to Surur, the channel will cover all current events in Syria from a national perspective and will offer a range of political, economic, and livelihood-related news bulletins and programs, in addition to focusing on social media platforms, which were neglected under the former regime
Minister of Information Dr. Hamza al-Mustafa had announced on April 20 that Syrian News Channel would be launched on May 5, 2025, following the launch of its five-hour live broadcast on social media platforms on March 29, coinciding with the formation of the new government.
