Syrian Arab Army Eliminates Dozens of Terrorists Outside Lattakia and Idleb, Ambushes Terrorists in Daraa

PROVINCES,(ST)_At least 34 terrorists from al-Nusra Front have been killed in Lattakia countryside amid reports of ambushing an armed terrorist group in southern Daraa province and destroying a truck loaded with local-made missiles in Idleb province.

According to the official news agency (SANA), the army units targeted today terrorist groups belonging to al-Nusra Front in towns of Saqeyet al-Kart, Arafid, Beit Ewan, al-Khedra, al-Soda, Kasab and al-Forolq in the northern countryside of Lattakia.

Well over 34 terrorists, mostly of foreign nationalities, were killed in the said towns, a military source said, adding that 3 mortars, 12 cars equipped with heavy machineguns and missiles plus missile depot were destroyed there.

Infiltration bids into towns

The source confirmed that the army units thwarted terrorist group’s infiltration bid from Wadi Barmasah into al-Heffeh town.

In addition, the army units warded off armed terrorist groups’ attack on Em Sharshouh town and foiled terrorist group’s infiltration bid into al-Dwer town in Homs countryside.

A military source clarified that the terrorist groups tried to attack Em Sharshouh town from al-Rastan and Talbeseh area outside Homs, noting that the ringleader of the terrorists was among the terrorists killed in the confrontation.

It added that munitions –laden car for terrorists was wiped out in al-Ghanto town.

Another truck loaded with local-made missiles for terrorists was destroyed near Sermin town in Idleb countryside.

Almost 6 foreign terrorists died

As many as 6 foreign terrorists from the so-called ‘Jend al-Aqsa’ organization, who were inside the truck died, a military source said.

The source added that large number of terrorists belonging to the same abovementioned organization and to another organization called ‘Jend al-Sham’ was eliminated in a military operation near Sermin town.

Other military operations were carried out against terrorist groupings in several areas outside Idleb, Homs and Daraa where many terrorists were crushed.

More terrorists perished in an ambush to the north of al-Yarmouk School in Daraa al-Balad in southern Daraa province.
