Syrian expatriate investors in Canada visit Hasya’a Industrial city in Homs

HOMS, MAY.3, (ST)-Industrial investment opportunities and the possibility of establishing industrial and investment projects in Hasya’a Industrial city in Homs were the main topics discussed by Director of the Industrial City, Talal Zo’eb, and a delegation of Syrian expatriate investors in Canada.

Zo’eb provided the delegation, which included Syrian businessmen and women residing in Canada, with a detailed information on the advantages of the industrial city, in addition to the administrative facilities provided by the “single-entry” point to facilitate investment procedures.

He referred to the advanced infrastructure and vital facilities, such as the free zone, dry port, modern transportation network, train stations, and banking services.

Zo’eb clarified that the presence of investors specializing in artificial intelligence, real estate development, and the civil aviation industry opens new horizons for the industrial sector, supporting economic development and strengthening the position of “Hasya’a” Industrial City as a major hub for attracting investment.

He noted that the administration is continuously working to provide a stimulating environment for investment.

For his part, Hamza Qablan, Director of Public Relations in Homs province , declared that this visit had a profound impact, not only on the economic level, but also on the national and humanitarian levels.

He pointed out that many of the delegation members are second- and third-generation Syrian expatriates born outside Syria, some of whom are visiting their homeland for the first time.

He emphasized that Syria welcomes its expatriate citizens and invites them to actively contribute to rebuilding the national economy through quality investments, especially in the fields of artificial intelligence and modern technology.

Qablan noted that the delegation members look forward to launching advanced projects that will contribute to strengthening the national economy.

The delegation toured the “Al-Mateen” Plastic Industries facility, where they were briefed on the current work and production processes, the manufacturing processes and mechanisms used, as well as the volume of local production.

This visit provided them with a clear understanding of the extent of the plastics industry’s development in Syria and the investment potential available in this vital sector.

Last month, a delegation from the Brazilian company American Suez Trading visited “Hasya’a” Industrial City to discuss investment opportunities in the food and agricultural industries sector.
