Qatar Renews its condemnation of repeated Israeli attacks on Syrian territory

The state of Qatar has renewed its condemnation of the repeated Israeli violations and attacks on Syrian territory as they constitute a blatant attack on the sovereignty and unity of Syria.

The permanent representative of the state of Qatar to the United Nations, Alia Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani, was quoted by the Qatari news agency QNA as saying in a statement to the Security Council’s quarterly open debate on the situation in the Middle East last night, “the state of Qatar strongly condemns the Israeli raids that targeted several areas in Syria, and considers them a blatant attack on the sovereignty and unity of Syria, and a flagrant violation of international law”.

Qatar, according to the statement, called on the international community to take urgent action to oblige “Israel” to comply with international laws and norms, and to stop its repeated attacks on Syrian territory.

The ambassador of Qatar reaffirmed her country’s firm and permanent position in support of the Palestinian cause, based on the resolutions of international legitimacy to ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and its recognition as a full member of this international organization.
