Minister of Transport Discusses Cooperation in the Field of Transportation with Chinese Delegation

Minister of Transport, Dr. Yarob Badr, discussed with a delegation comprising businessmen and representatives of Chinese investment companies opportunities for cooperation and coordination in the field of transportation, aiming to elevate it to the level of the strategic relations between the two countries.

During the meeting held today at the Ministry’s headquarters, the two sides discussed promising investment opportunities in Syria’s transport sector, with a focus on railways, electric vehicles and machinery, and freight transport.

The discussions also covered the possibility of benefiting from Chinese expertise in training and qualifying Syrian human resources in a way that serves the interests of both friendly nations.

Dr. Badr stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation to activate and boost transportation activity, increase trade and economic exchange, and promote the establishment of joint investment projects. He also praised the Chinese people’s support for the Syrian people through all the circumstances Syria has faced.

The Chinese delegation expressed its readiness to expand cooperation and intensify efforts to develop relations and encourage joint investments, especially in the field of transportation.
